  • tkMNA - Talent Development Program...

What to Expect

The Talent Development Program (TDP) starts in June each year. You will begin the TDP by spending approximately three months at your target organization (the business area where you will work after completion of the program.) During the program, you will move through five functional rotations at various business units of tkMNA in the United States, expanding your knowledge in areas like Inside Sales Management, Outside Sales Management, Marketing, Operations, Purchasing/ Product Knowledge, Supply Chain Management, International Sales, Credit/ Business Strategy or Shared Services. You’ll collaborate with our experts and managers on challenging sales projects and take on real-world responsibilities from day one.

The program is designed to push you and your talents in a variety of methods that will help you better understand our business, our customers and the industries we serve. This 360-degree exposure is one of the many ways that we will help develop your existing skills and prepare you for a successful future with our company.

The Selection Process

Our selection process for this program is stringent, and begins nearly six months in advance of your start date in June. We want to be sure that the candidates we select are top-notch talent, have the energy and work-ethic to excel and share our core values.

December - February

After submitting your application to us, we will evaluate your credentials based on program requirements. You will receive an acknowledgement providing you with your application status.

February - March

If your credentials and resume meet the program requirements, we will invite you to complete an online skills assessment.

January - March

After reviewing all applications, we will invite selected candidates to participate in a phone interview with one of our recruiters.

February - April

Face-to-face interviews are conducted by Human Resources and business unit representatives on-site, or at the tkMNA corporate headquarters in Michigan.

Finalists will be invited to the thyssenkrupp Materials NA Career Day in Plymouth, Michigan. The Career Day will include an interview, business case, and provides you with an opportunity to learn more about thyssenkrupp.
