Extren®

Online Plastics®, the online store for thyssenKrupp Materials NA thyssenkrupp Engineered Plastics Division, stocks Extren® products.

Extren® is a proprietary blend of fiberglass reinforcements and thermosetting polyester or vinyl ester resin systems. This combination gives Extren® unique properties that withstand corrosion and high good UV resistance. It is a particularly good value in harsh environmental conditions. Extren® is typically used in applications where conventional construction materials do not provide economic service life. Common uses of Extren® shapes are beams, columns, braces, trusses, tension members, platforms and railings, supports, base and floor plates, separators and dividers, tooling and fixtures.

Its versatility makes it popular for solving many design and plant engineering problems. It is often used by engineers, architects, maintenance persons and fabricators needing a structural material that will perform well in harsh environments.

Features:

  • Lightweight blend of fiberglass and resin

  • Impact resistant

  • Non-magnetic
