Phenolic
Phenolic is a hard, dense material made through a process of heat and pressure to laminate layers of paper or fabric that have been impregnated with a synthetic resin.
On average phenolics are approximately half the weight of aluminum. Characteristics of phenolic include resistance to abrasion, friction, impact and fatigue. Phenolic also withstands corrosion by water and many chemicals. Online Plastics® offers phenolic sheeting in various thicknesses and grades including XX, CE, LE, and G-10. as well as phenolic rod and tubing. Properties of phenolics will vary based on the grade. These grades include and LE (Linen Grade) C (Canvas Grade), or Paper, also known as an economy grade.
